Arizona Football: Jalen Harris to return for 2022 season
Following a terrific junior campaign, Arizona Football star Jalen Harris will be coming back for his senior season and some unfinished business.
The 2021 Arizona Football season may have been a rough one for the Wildcats. However, one of the few bright spots on the year was the play of junior defensive end Jalen Harris.
A former standout at the talented Desert Ridge High School in Gilbert, Ariz. Jalen came to Tucson as the son of Wildcat legends Sean Harris (Desert Swarm football standout from 1991-94) and Cha-Ron (former basketball start from 1996-98).
Over the past few years, Jalen has made himself known as being one of Arizona’s better defensive linemen, and in a season that provided few bright spots, the young Harris was one of those.
Starting in all 12 games for the Wildcats, Jalen totaled 48 tackles (a career-high), with 25 tackles being solo, while also totaling 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and forcing a fumble.
Following a year like that, it seemed that it would be tough to keep Jalen for another year, but luckily for us, the experienced edge rusher took to social media on Friday to announce that he is returning for his senior season.

Coming back for some unfinished business and to play with his younger brother Jason, Jalen Harris is going to help bring stability to Arizona Football.
This past year may have been a particularly rough one for Arizona, however, head coach Jedd Fisch and staff are still committed to turning things around for the Wildcats.
Unfortunately for the Cats, this coming season will still provide yet another set of unique challenges, as for the third straight year, Arizona will be breaking in a new defensive coordinator. That means veteran guys like Jalen will be relied upon heavily, which is why getting him back for a senior season is huge.
Jalen is a talented football player with a bright future, and with an even bigger role in 2022, the sky is the limit!
