Continuing to make headway in the recruiting class of 2022, Arizona Football added their second commitment over the weekend with the addition of Isaiah Ward.

It has been a busy weekend for Arizona Football as the Wildcats have been playing host to several recruits that are on campus for official visits. Already, Arizona received one commitment from Kevin Green, Jr., but the action didn’t stop there as the Wildcats got another commitment, this time from 2022 Edge Rusher, Isaiah Ward.

Making his announcement via social media on Saturday evening, the SoCal standout became the 18th commitment in the class of 2022 for Arizona, and he is yet another crucial piece for Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats.

Considered a high-level, three-star talent, Ward comes from the talented Colony High School in Ontario, California, and coincidentally, he joins fellow high school teammate and Arizona commit A.J. Jones.

Picking the Wildcats despite offers from Oregon State, Arizona State, San Diego State, and Utah among others, Ward is a solid pick up for the Wildcats.

Coming into this off-season Arizona Football desperately needed more talent on defense, and by adding Isaiah Ward he address a position of need.

As we all saw this past season, it is that the Wildcats had some decent pieces on defense but unfortunately with a few key departures this off-season so far, Arizona was going to desperately need to replace those players as soon as possible.

Luckily for us, Isaiah is a player that can help the Cats. Standing a massive 6-feet-6-inches, and weighing 230 pounds, he is a talented kid with a big frame, and he also comes from great lineage, as his uncle is former NFL linebacker, Pro Bowler, and Super Bowl Champion Bobby Wagner.

Isaiah is an explosive athlete that possesses great lateral quickness, good strength, and above all else, he plays with a nastiness that the Wildcats have been desperately needing for quite some time. Just take a look at the Wildcats’ talented new edge rusher!
