With Arizona Football staying busy with off-season recruiting, transfer portal options becoming fewer and fewer for the Wildcats.

Arizona Football is just over a week removed from putting together a solid recruiting class that signed during the early Signing Period, and while what they did was impressive, there is still plenty of work left to be done on the recruiting trail, particularly in the infamous transfer portal.

Coming into the off-season, head coach Jedd Fisch stressed the importance of recruiting, which also meant prioritizing the infamous transfer portal.

Look, it is no secret that Arizona desperately needs help, and the 1-11 season this past year is a clear indication of just how badly the Cats need an infusion of talent in the worst way possible.

And while the strong recruiting class is a good start, you got to figure most of those freshmen may not play right away, so that means the Wildcats need to be recruiting the transfer portal to bring in several transfers that can come in right away and make an impact.

However, with transfer options becoming fewer and fewer, Arizona Football has to be aggressive when recruiting players in the infamous transfer portal.

Things are heating up on the recruiting trail for virtually every team, and while Arizona may be prioritizing the transfer portal, it is also worth noting that the Wildcats have some significant competition here, as Arizona is not the only team looking for immediate impact players.

So far, we’ve seen a few players that were rumored to be targets of Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats that have committed elsewhere. And with Spring Football just around the corner, you have to think some players are going to be wanting to make their decisions soon, as well as get enrolled into Spring Courses.

That roughly gives the Wildcats just a couple of weeks to find some players that can come in address some areas of concern.

If I’m Fisch, I’m still looking for another quarterback since there is no guarantee Gunner Cruz or Jordan McCloud will be healthy in time for Spring Football, and beyond that, the Wildcats could still use some help along the offensive line.

Either way, here is to hoping the Cats can find some additional answers quickly along the recruiting trail!
