Continuing to make his path from Arizona to the NBA, former Wildcat Brandon Williams has signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trailblazers.

Former Wildcat Brandon Williams has had to battle adversity in his young basketball career, especially as he continues to make a path for himself. A once budding basketball star, Williams came to Arizona with high hopes, and he even showcased his talent and oozed potential every time he stepped on the court.

However, knee injuries in high school and at Arizona derailed his career a bit, and since then, the path has not been particularly easy.

Not being cleared to play by University medical staff, BWill had to then find his path elsewhere, and since then, the former Wildcat has been able to find success.

Signing a G-League with the Westchester Knicks (the G-League affiliate of the New York Knicks) a month ago, Brandon has been making the most out of this opportunity as he is averaging 17.7 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 10 games played.

Because of his success, Brandon Williams is getting a chance at the NBA as it was announced that he signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trailblazers.

Making news via social media, The Atlantic’s Shams Charania announced the signing, and it only confirms what many Arizona fans already knew, that BWill was an NBA-level player.

And with the Trailblazers impacted by Covid-19, Brandon has a great opportunity to showcase his talent and continue to make a path for himself.

Brandon is now the second Wildcat to sign a 10-day contract in the NBA in recent days, as former Wildcat Stanley Johnson was the other, signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Stanley appeared in the Lakers’ 122-115 loss to the Brooklyn Nets last night. He finished with seven points, a rebound, an assist, and a steal in 27 minutes played.

Here’s to hoping that Brandon can make his impact felt quickly!
