With the highly anticipated Arizona Basketball game against UCLA still postponed, the Bruins returned to practice on Tuesday afternoon.

Good news! UCLA finally appears to be COVID free; however, their game against Arizona Basketball that was originally scheduled for December 30, is still postponed at this point.

For those that have been paying attention to the recent Arizona Basketball news, the Wildcats’ trip to Southern California that was initially scheduled for this weekend, was postponed just days ago as UCLA and USC have dealt with COVID protocols.

While unfortunate, the scheduling change is understandable as other teams and leagues across the country are going through similar struggles.

However, what has gotten some Arizona Basketball fans irate, is that UCLA returned to practice on Tuesday, just days after they called off their games.

UCLA paused all team activities back on December 15, and after nearly two full weeks off, they are back to practicing. And with the recent Pac-12 policies being changed regarding COVID, that means that the Bruins would have been eligible to play on Thursday just as they were originally scheduled to do.

Unfortunately, that is not the case, as once again, the Wildcats will have to be amenable to other teams, while their opponents face no consequences.

For those that have been paying attention, Arizona had to reschedule their game against Washington a few weeks ago, and for the second and third times this season, they will have to change their schedule again.

UCLA will get a little benefit of the doubt here with the extra time off for recovery, meanwhile, the Wildcats and the Sun Devils will have to sandwich two more road games in an already tight Pac-12 schedule at a later time.

Because of the recent scheduling gap, Arizona moved up their game against Washington to January 3 at home.
