With Arizona Basketball now in the second half of their season, the absence of Eastern Washington transfer Kim Aiken Jr. continues to be a mystery.

The 2021-22 Arizona Basketball season has been steadily rolling along and while a few players have stepped and helped the Cats to an impressive 11-1 start, there is one guy that remains absent from all the action.

For those that have been paying so far, you would have seen that Eastern Washington transfer Kim Aiken Jr. has not played a single game for the Wildcats in weeks, and in his press conference just ahead of Arizona’s game against Washington, Tommy Lloyd still cast uncertainty regarding the forwards future with the team.

Coming into the season as a talented transfer, some had high hopes for the forward as he showed glimpses with the Eagles last season, and was even one of the better players on their team.

However, as to be expected, when he joined a talented Arizona team, his role with the team was mainly going to be in a support capacity.

In his seven games played with the Wildcats, Aiken has shown his worth in his limited action, as he is currently averaging 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, in roughly 13.6 minutes played per game.

And with Kim Aiken Jr. still unavailable for Arizona Basketball this week, his absence continues to remain a mystery.

Aiken was last seen with the team on December 5, when Arizona dismantled the Oregon State Beavers up in Corvallis.

He missed his first game against Wyoming back on December 8 citing personal reasons, and the bizarre thing about this whole situation is the lack of clarity on the situation.

Currently, Aiken is still a member of the team, but in his latest press conference, Lloyd had said he could not comment on the situation.

Hopefully, everything is okay with the young man, and that he can return to action soon with the Wildcats!
