With Spring Football just around the corner, Arizona Football has added another transfer, this time it is from former four-star from UCLA, Tiaoalii Savea.

Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football are having one hell of an off-season, and after signing a current, Top 25 recruiting class for 2022, the Wildcats have added another valuable defensive from the transfer portal in, Tiaoalii Savea.

A former four-star recruit in the class of 2021, Savea committed to UCLA out of the talented Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, NV, and after just one season in Pasadena, Tiaoalii decided he needed a change of scenery.

Being pursued by several college suitors that also included USC, it seemed as if Savea was destined to end up with the Trojans. That is until Fisch and the Wildcats had other ideas.

The once highly-touted defensive tackle committed to Arizona late on Tuesday evening, and he rejoins his former defensive coach from UCLA, Johnny Nansen.

Joining a talented recruiting class for 2022, the commitment of Taoalii Savea has Arizona Football trending in the right direction.

Coming in at 6-feet-4-inches and roughly 275 pounds, Taoalii provides the kind of size, talent, and athleticism that the Wildcats desperately need on defense, and he should get an early opportunity to prove himself in 2022.

Seeing action in 10 games as a reserve along the defensive line for the Bruins, Savea accumulated seven tackles (four solo) with a pass deflection in his limited action played.

Taoalii even had a season-high three tackles against Cal on November 27. The Bruins went on to win that game 42-14 in Pasadena.

As for Arizona, the sky is the limit! The Wildcats have been aggressive on the recruiting trail this off-season, and they have surely lived up to their mantra of competing against the best teams to land the talent they need. Look no further than the commitment of Savea.
