TUCSON, AZ – Returning to action after a brief delay in, No. 6 Arizona Basketball (13-1, 3-0) uses second-half surge to route Colorado (11-4, 3-2).

No. 6 Arizona Basketball hadn’t played a basketball game in 10 days before last night’s conference matchup against Colorado, and despite the break, the Wildcats looked unfazed, routing the visiting Buffaloes 76-55.

Receiving major production from their bench and using a strong second-half surge, the Wildcats proved why they are one the better teams in the country.

Justin Kier would have a big day as he tied the team-high in points with 14, as the Senior transfer came off the bench, connecting on three of his four three-point attempts.

Utah transfer Pelle Larsson would also have a big day off the bench, finishing with his day with 12 points and five rebounds, while Kerr Kriisa had a quieter, but productive evening as he scored just two points and dished 10 assists.

Despite their break in basketball action and late tip-off time, Arizona would start hot in this one as they jumped out to a 22-8 lead after the first 11 minutes of play.

However, Colorado wouldn’t go quietly as they would finish the half on a 20-10 run to cut the Wildcats lead to four.

Leading 32-28 after the first half of play, Arizona Basketball would wear down down Colorado in the second half en route to the 21-point win.

Despite Colorado’s best attempts at staying in this one, the Wildcats proved why they are considered to be one of the best teams in the country.

Arizona would jump out to an 11-point lead after the first five minutes to play in the second half; however, the Wildcats wouldn’t stop there, as they continued their strong play en route to dominating the visiting Buffaloes.

Doing it on both ends of the floor, Arizona would out-rebound Colorado 44-33, while also holding the Buffaloes to 36.4 shooting from the field in the second half, including 3-12 from three.

Overall, the Wildcats looked sharp as they remained perfect after throttling the Buffaloes 76-55 inside a packed McKale Center.

What’s next for Arizona Basketball?

Coming away with the dominant win, the Wildcats will have a day off before returning to action against Utah on Saturday. Tip-off against the Utes is currently set for 6:00 P.M.
