Following their weekend sweeps of Colorado and Utah, Arizona Basketball climbs to No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Arizona Basketball is rolling as the Wildcats are off to an impressive 14-1 (4-0) start on the season.

Already, the Wildcats have scored some big wins over then Top 5 ranked Michigan, beating Wichita State, as well as Illinois on the road.

And despite the Wildcats having several games postponed due to other teams having COVID, the Wildcats have stayed ready, playing each game with intensity and fight.

Well, after another substantial break in the scheduling, the Wildcats returned to action this weekend, taking on Colorado and Utah.

Against the Buffaloes, the Cats looked a little sloppy to start. Blowing a rather big first-half lead, Colorado would climb back within four points of the Wildcats at halftime. Arizona would go on to win by a 77-55 final.

Taking on Utah just two days later, some of that sloppiness would return as Arizona would start slow, perhaps feeling the effects of not having their starting point guard.

Either way, Arizona would use their talent and depth to eventually wear down the Utes, cruising to the 82-64 win to remain perfect in conference play.

And following their successful week, Arizona Basketball has moved up to No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings.

This past week was a rather eventful one in college basketball as several top-ranked teams lost. And naturally, that meant that there would be movement in the latest Top 25 poll, which to our delight, benefits the Wildcats.

Making news on Monday morning, the Associated Press released their latest Top 25 poll, and coming at No. 3 on the list was our Wildcats.

Also joining Arizona from the Pac-12 was UCLA (No. 9) and USC (No. 16), while Oregon received 15 votes after sweeping the Los Angeles schools.

With the Wildcats now up to No. 3 in the country, they will have to stay focused as the targets on their back are becoming even larger. Arizona will resume play on Thursday when they take on Stanford in Palo Alto.
