As Super Bowl Sunday is nearly upon us, Super Bowl LVI will feature two teams with ties to Arizona Football, most namely, Jedd Fisch.

Football might be wrapping up for the season; however, there is still plenty of excitement and intrigue for fans of Arizona Football and Jedd Fisch, as Super Bowl LVI approaches.

Yesterday was a busy day of football action. In the first game of the day, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals erased an 18-point deficit against the heavily-favored Kansas City Chiefs to get the stunning win in overtime, winning 27-24.

Just a few hours and 1,600+ miles later, division rivals the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers were battling for the final spot in the Super Bowl.

As many expected, the NFC Championship was also an exciting and competitive game between both teams, with the Rams being the narrow victors.

With Super Bowl LVI featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles, Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch will have ties to the big game.

Before coming to Arizona, we all knew that coach Fisch was someone that got around in his coaching career, making several stops at the collegiate and professional levels.

So, naturally, after 20 years in the profession, his ties in the sport of football are so deep, he has connections to both teams in this years’ Super Bowl.

From 2018-19, Fisch coached with the Los Angeles Rams, serving as a Senior Offensive Assistant and Assistant OC.

During that time, so did Zac Taylor, the current head coach of Super Bowl LVI competitor, the Cincinnati Bengals. A coach that also made several stops in his coaching career, Fisch and he share several connections, with their time in Los Angeles running concurrently.

So, while the big game may not feature several players from the University of Arizona this year, there is still plenty of intrigue with this game, and it has some aptly calling it the Fisch Bowl.

For those that maybe didn’t know, due to Fisch’s connections with Rams head coach Sean McVay, Sean has already taken part in the Wildcats’ “We Educate Wednesday’s”.

Come Super Bowl Sunday when everyone is watching to see how this one unfolds, we know Fisch will be as well!
