Arizona Football announces date for the Spring Football game
Arizona Football is just around the corner as the Wildcats announced on Wednesday that their annual Spring Game will be held on April 9.
It has been a long couple of months since Arizona Football last took the field, and I am sure the Wildcats are looking forward to distancing themselves from the rather rough and tumultuous 2021 season.
Luckily, brighter days are ahead for the program, especially after the off-season the Wildcats have had.
As we all saw, Arizona signed a Top 25 recruiting class for 2022, and also added some valuable transfers via the infamous portal.
And with the hype that has been building this off-season for the Wildcats, it has many, including us at Zona Zealots, very excited about the upcoming season. But first, Spring Football needs to happen.
For those that have been longing for information about the Spring Football game are in luck as the University of Arizona finally announced on Wednesday the date for the Spring game, which has been set for April 9.
The Spring game will offer fans an early look at the 2022 Arizona Football team as well as the early enrollees from their Top 25 recruiting class.
Last year, fans ushered in the Jedd Fisch era of Arizona Football as then transfer quarterback Gunner Cruz lead the Red team to a thrilling victory.
This year, fans will once again get another glimpse at a Washington State quarterback transfer, as incoming transfer, Jayden de Laura will be a presumptive starter for the Wildcats.
Unfortunately at this point, it doesn’t seem as if former Wildcat Rob Gronkowski will be partaking in any pregame festivities this year, or trying to catch another record-breaking pass.
Spring practices are set to begin on March 4 and will conclude with the annual scrimmage held inside Arizona Stadium on April 9. More details of that upcoming game are soon to follow!
