As a big weekend approaches for No. 4 Arizona Basketball, the Wildcats will welcome ESPN’s College Gameday when they take on Oregon on Saturday.

It has been five years since ESPN’s College Gameday last came to Tucson, but following the big win by No. 4 Arizona Basketball on Saturday afternoon over Washington, ESPN’s traveling roadshow is coming to the ‘Old Pueblo’ once again.

Following their defeat of the Huskies, ESPN announced that they will be hosting their weekly show in Tucson next Saturday as they preview college basketball’s weekend slate of games including the matchup between Arizona and Oregon.

The current panel of personalities on College Gameday includes host Res Davis along with analysts LaFonso Ellis, Seth Greenberg, and Jay Bilas.

College Gameday has been to Tucson a couple of times now, with the last game happening in 2017 when Arizona then hosted UCLA. The Wildcats lost that game 77-72.

Coming in, the Wildcats are rolling, entering this weekend’s slate of games winners of six straight. Meanwhile, the Ducks have come crashing back down to reality as they suffered a brutal, 78-64 loss to Cal on Saturday.

As Arizona Basketball welcomes ESPN’s College Gameday with a firm lead in first place in the Pac-12 standings, this weekend will be big for the Cats.

Disregard the fact that the Wildcats are 0-2 when they host ESPN’s College Gameday in Tucson, this weekend will be a big one for Arizona.

The Wildcats are currently 22-2 (12-1) on the season, with a comfortable 2.5 game lead in the Pac-12 Conference standings. And they will also have a great opportunity to build off their already impressive resume.

Arizona will have a battle this weekend as they welcome Oregon State on Thursday, followed by the Oregon Ducks on Saturday.

The Wildcats are currently on a seven-game losing streak to the Ducks and will look to get back to their dominant ways. Tip-off for Saturday’s game is currently set for 8:00 PM (MST) / 7:00 PM (PST).
