Beginning to make progress in the recruiting class for 2023, Tommy Lloyd and Arizona Basketball received a huge commitment from five-star point guard, Kylan Boswell.

Since joining the Arizona Basketball program, there has not been much for recruiting news for Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats, however, that seems to quickly be changing as the Wildcats received a commitment from five-star point guard, Kylan Boswell.

Making news via social media on Monday evening, the 2023 point guard made his college choice, officially picking the Wildcats over offers from Illinois, UNLV, Auburn, Kansas, and UCLA among several others.

Becoming the first commitment in the class of 2023 for Arizona, Boswell is a big one! He is a standout guard at Compass Prep High School in Chandler, Arizona has been a key target for the Wildcats.

Coming in as a five-star guard, Boswell is considered to the the No. 11 overall player in the class, the No. 2 point guard overall, as well as the No. 2 player in the state of Arizona.

The addition of Kylan Boswell gives Arizona Basketball a nice recruiting win for the class of 2023.

Standing a stocky, 6-feet-1-inch and weighing 180 pounds, he is a bit smaller in stature, but Kylan is a sturdy guard with good strength and a nice burst of speed. Overall, he is a quick and shifty guard that is good in the open floor and is also very crafty.

He uses his frame and strength well to play through contact, and he also has a good feel for the game, seemingly able to score well at all three levels which includes a nice jumper that extends well beyond the three-point line.

Beyond that, he excels on the defensive end and is exactly the type of point guard that is going to continue to help this high-flying and high-powered offense.

This is a huge pick up for Arizona, and is one hell of a start to the 2023 recruiting class. Just take a look at the Wildcats’ new point guard!
