Fresh off a series loss to Texas State, No. 16 Arizona Baseball (9-3) returns to action to take on New Mexico in Hi Corbett Field.

Arizona Baseball is in full swing, and after starting the season off with nine wins in their first 10 games played, they have come crashing down to reality a bit, losing two straight games in a series loss to Texas State.

Losses in baseball happen, but the great thing about the sport is you play so many games, you always have a chance to rebound and get back on track. And luckily, despite dropping two of three to Texas State, the Wildcats have a great opportunity to get back in the win column.

Coming in, the Wildcats face a struggling New Mexico team, and it is also against a program that the Wildcats have historically done well against.

Arizona is one of the better offensive teams in the country, hitting an impressive .295 from the dish collectively while belting eight home runs, 81 RBIs, nine triples, and 34 doubles.

Where the Wildcats seem to struggle is in the deeper parts of their bullpen; however, as a group, they have a combined 3.47 ERA with 115 strikeouts. Beyond that, defensively, things have been a bit rocky, having committed 16 errors through 12 games.

Here’s a look at the Wildcats’ upcoming opponent.
