No. 15 Arizona Baseball hopes to rebound vs Grand Canyon

Fresh off a series loss to conference rival UCLA, No. 15 Arizona Baseball (17-7, 6-3) returns to action as they take on Grand Canyon (16-9, 8-1). 

Arizona Baseball is in full swing, and after starting their Pac-12 slate of games hot by sweeping Stanford, the Wildcats came crashing back down to reality as they dropped their three-game series against UCLA.

Losses in baseball happen, but the great thing about the sport is you play so many games, you always have a chance to rebound and get things back on track. And luckily, despite dropping two of three to the Bruins over the weekend, the Wildcats have a great opportunity to get back in the win column as they take on Grand Canyon.

Coming in, the Wildcats face a talented Lopes squad that beat the breaks off of Arizona just a few weeks ago in Tucson. Where the Wildcats seem to struggle is in the deeper parts of their bullpen as we previously saw in their 19-3 loss to Grand Canyon just a few weeks prior. However, overall this is a group with a combined 4.26 ERA and 208 strikeouts.

2021-22 Record: The Lopes are currently 16-9 (8-1) on the year and are currently on a two-game winning streak after beating Sacramento State in a tough conference slate of games this past weekend. The Lopes are also fresh off a win over cross-town rival ASU just last week.
