Arizona Football linebacker Jackson Bailey to transfer
Continuing to see more changes with their roster, the Wildcats have lost another player as Arizona Football linebacker Jackson Bailey is set to transfer.
It is an unfortunate circumstance that happens when you change coaches, and after head coach Jedd Fisch has been in charge for a little over a year, the Wildcats have lost yet another player to transfer, this time it is Arizona Football linebacker, Jackson Bailey.
A freshman that originally committed to then-head coach Kevin Sumlin and the Wildcats in the class of 2021, Bailey announced he is leaving after spending just one season in Tucson.
Making news via social media on Wednesday afternoon, the Texas-based linebacker announced his transfer from the Wildcats and his departure leaves some fans pondering what could have been.

As a true freshman last year, Bailey did not see any action; however, there was hope that he could potentially develop into something special, especially as he was the No. 190 overall prospect from the talent-rich state of Texas and was also a three-star recruit.
Unfortunately, the coaching changes created enough uncertainty for Jackson Bailey that he wanted to transfer away from Arizona Football.
The world of college football is a fickle business, and unfortunately, all college football programs see their fair share of roster attrition and turnover, especially Arizona. And so far, Jackson is the third Wildcat to announce their transfer this Spring.
In case you missed it, just within the past couple of weeks, cornerback Jakelyn Morgan and Colby Powers also entered the transfer portal. However, Morgan has since committed to Louisiana Tech.
The losses hurt but aren’t entirely unexpected. Again, roster attrition and turnover happen, and for a school like Arizona that has gone through several coaching changes over the past couple of seasons, naturally, transfers were going to happen.
For Jackson, we wish him the best and hope he finds success wherever he goes!
