Continuing to make progress in the recruiting class for 2023, Arizona Football received a commitment from three-star offensive tackle, Rhino Tapa’atoutai.

The 2022 Arizona Football season is still months away, and already the Wildcats are off to a hot start on the recruiting trail, picking up yet another commitment, this time from three-star Southern California offensive tackle, Rhino Tapa’atoutai.

Making news via social media on Monday evening, the standout Bishop Alemany High School offensive tackle announced his commitment to the Wildcats, just days after visiting Arizona’s campus.

Picking the Wildcats over offers from Colorado, Hawaii, San Diego State, and UNLV among others, the three-star offensive tackle joins the 2023 Arizona recruiting class along with fellow commits that include three-star corner, Canyon Moses, four-star quarterback, Brayden Dorman, and three-star safety Justin Johnson.

Helping to bolster the offensive line for Arizona Football, overall, Tapa’atoutai is a solid pick-up for the Wildcats.

Coming in, Rhino is a high-end three-star commit. He is the No. 75 overall player from the talent-rich state of California and is considered to be the No. 52 overall player for his position according to 247Sports’ scouting services.

Hailing from the talented Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, CA, Rhino joins former high school teammates Ephesians Prysock and Kevin Green from the recruiting class of 2022.

And as he comes to Tucson making a reunion of sorts, Rhino will have an opportunity to compete for early playing time, and he should help provide immediate depth at a position of need.

Heading into his senior season, this is a kid that is poised for a potentially big jump both physically and athletically. He currently stands an impressive 6-feet-5-inches and 280 pounds (according to his 247Sports profile), and he has the ideal size for an offensive tackle.

Rhino plays with a lot of energy and has a great motor for an offensive tackle. He plays fast and physical and excels in both run and pass blocking.
