Continuing to make progress on the recruiting trail, head coach Tommy Lloyd and Arizona Basketball have offered 2023 forward, Kwame Evans Jr.

We are just weeks into the off-season for Arizona Basketball, and the Wildcats are staying busy hitting the recruiting trail. And with two big-time players already committed for 2023, Arizona has their eyes set on another with Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL) forward, Kwame Evans Jr.

Making news on Monday afternoon, it was announced via social media that the Wildcats have officially offered Evans.

A prolific five-star recruit in the class, Kwame is considered the No. 2 player overall in the class and the No. 1 player for his position and the state of Florida according to 247Sports’ scouting services.

At 6-feet-9-inches and weighing 200 pounds, Evans is a tall and lanky forward that is drawing a lot of early interest from some of the major programs in the country.

With offers from Oregon, Kentucky, Auburn, Indiana, and UCLA among several others, Arizona is just one of many potential suitors vying for Evans.

With Arizona Basketball now offering Kwame Evans Jr., the hope is that the Wildcats are not too late in this recruitment.

We are a full year away from 2023 recruits even signing the National Letters of Intent; however, the thing to note with this recruitment is that Kwame already released his list of Top 5 schools before the Wildcats offered. And not surprisingly, Arizona is not on his list.

Arizona will have a bit of work to do to catch up; however, when you have a player as talented as Kwame, you at least have to try.

Even at his size, he is more of that new age wing/forward with tremendous size and length. He’s 6-foot-9 and possesses a wingspan that reaches 7′.

He likes to play on the perimeter but can score at all three levels. He also uses his length and size well on defense. This is a kid with a lot of upside, and it is clear why Arizona is offering him. Let’s just hope we’re not too late!
