The Arizona Basketball off-season is in full swing, and the Wildcats seem to have some early interest in St. Bonaventure grad transfer, Kyle Lofton.

It has already been a hellacious off-season for Arizona Basketball as the Wildcats have seen quite a bit of roster turnover. And with the months to go until the season starts for the Wildcats, Tommy Lloyd and Arizona seem to have early interest in St. Bonaventure grad transfer, Kyle Lofton.

Making news via social media on Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed that Lofton had been receiving early interest from a few big programs, with Arizona being one of them.

For those that don’t know, Kyle is a 6-foot-3 guard with one remaining year of eligibility, and with Justin Kier moving on, it is easy to see why the Wildcats are reaching out.

Lofton is a native of Hillside, NJ, and proved himself to be one of the top point guards in the Atlantic 10 last season.

Kyle finished his season averaging 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists while shooting 40.2 percent from the field as he helped lead St. Bonaventure to a 23-10 (12-5) record. The Bonnies ultimately fell to Xavier in the NIT Semifinal to end their season.

With Arizona Basketball desperately needing more players for 2022-23, naturally, it makes sense why the Wildcats are targeting Kyle Lofton.

Arizona already has some good foundational pieces set for next season; however, if the Wildcats are to stay competitive in this conference, they will need to add more talent. Luckily, Kyle seems to fit that well.

As we already know, Justin Kier is gone, and the Wildcats need some backcourt help. Now, should Kyle come to Tucson, he would be a good fit next to Kerr Kriisa, allowing Kyle to play off-the-ball more. Plus, he would bring veteran leadership, which is never a bad thing!

Here are some highlights from Kyle!
