Despite offering five-star forward Kwame Evans Jr. just weeks ago, Arizona Basketball will get an official visit from the 2023 superstar!

It wasn’t long ago that highly-touted five-star forward Kwame Evans Jr. announced his Top Five schools; however, that didn’t seem to stop Arizona Basketball and Tommy Lloyd from getting involved.

Finally giving a scholarship offer to the Monteverde Academy star back in April, the Wildcats had to make up significant ground in this recruitment since they were a bit late to the party here.

Well, luckily their persistence has seemingly paid off as the Wildcats have secured an official visit from one of the top players in the class of 2023.

Making news via social media on Tuesday, it was announced that Evans will be making a few visits this summer, and one of the visits will be to Tucson.

The 6-foot-9 forward will visit Arizona from June 3-5 while Kentucky and Oregon have secured visits from Evans as well.

The work put in by Arizona Basketball in such a short time has seemingly made a difference in the recruitment of 2023 forward Kwame Evans Jr.

Tommy has come to Arizona not afraid of competing, and already he has put together a solid class for 2023 with the additions of five-star point guard Kylan Boswell and four-star shooting guard KJ Lewis.

However, despite the Wildcats missing out on a few other recruitments, Evans could be the crowning jewel in the class.

A budding star from the highly-touted Monteverde Prep in Florida, Evans is considered to be the No. 3 overall player in the class by 247Sports and is also considered to be the top-rated power forward. He is the No. 1 prospect from Florida as well!

At 6-foot-9, Kwame possesses a massive wingspan that reaches 7 feet and is more of that wing/forward hybrid.

Even though he likes to play on the perimeter, he can score at all three levels, and he also uses his length and size well on defense. This is a kid with a lot of upside and potential.

And we’re just glad Arizona has made up significant ground! Here’s a small preview again of how special of a talent he is!
