Despite transferring back to Arizona Football and sitting out this past year, wide receiver Ma’Jon Wright has entered the transfer portal once again.

Arizona Football wide receiver Ma’Jon Wright should consider investing in some frequent flyer miles at this point. After multiple stints with the Wildcats, Wright is on the move… again!

Making news on Wednesday afternoon, we learned that Ma’Jon has entered the transfer portal once again as reported by 247Sports’ Jason Scheer.

Since coming to Tucson… err, I mean coming back to Tucson, the Florida native and the infamous NCAA transfer portal has become synonymous with each other, with his recruitment seemingly being treated much like a revolving door.

For those that don’t remember, Ma’Jon originally committed to the Wildcats out of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL in the recruiting class of 2020.

However, despite a promising, abbreviated freshman season that was hampered by the Covid pandemic, Wright announced he was on the move shortly after then head coach Kevin Sumlin was let go.

Eventually, he would land with Middle Tennessee State, but his time there was short-lived as just a few months later, Ma’Jon transferred back to Tucson.

Once again, Arizona Football wide receiver Ma’Jon Wright is on the move as he searches for a new home.

While the move is shocking, it also isn’t entirely unprecedented either. This off-season was incredibly kind to the Wildcats as Arizona secured commitments from Tetairoa McMillan, Kevin Green, and AJ Jones while adding UTEP transfer Jacob Cowing.

In short, the Arizona wide receiver room is incredibly deep, and while the Florida native was projected to be a contributor to this year’s team, he was unable to crack the rotation at receiver this past Spring, and the incredible depth at receiver is what likely forced him out.

Even with his departure, Arizona should still have a myriad of options at receiver, and that doesn’t include some of the prolific pass catchers that will be coming out of the backfield for the Wildcats!
