The 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season is still months away, and already the Wildcats’ roster is starting to shape up. We take an early look at their roster!

Who doesn’t love looking to the future? Especially when it involves Arizona Basketball! Well, if you are a rabid fan like us, the 2021-22 seasons’ ending didn’t quite satiate our thirst for Wildcat basketball, so naturally, we’re already looking ahead to the next season.

In the past few months, the Wildcats have been in the headlines frequently as Bennedict Mathurin, Christian Koloko, and Dalen Terry all declared for the NBA Draft.

As a result, Tommy Lloyd has been working tirelessly to bring in more talent and players to fill in the gaps for the absences left by Mathurin, Koloko, and Terry.

So far, he’s snagged Serbian wing Filip Borovicanin and highly-touted Estonian forward Henri Veesaar. But beyond that, he’s been targeting some other high-level players that include Wazzu’s Efe Abogidi, 2022 forward Leonard Miller, and others.

With the Arizona Basketball roster already taking steady form, we provide a quick preview of the Wildcats’ likely starters and rotation for next season.

Starters (based on who’s currently on the roster)

Point Guard – Kerr Kriisa

Shooting Guard – Adama Bal

Small Forward – Pelle Larsson

Power Forward – Azuolas Tubelis

Center – Oumar Ballo

Bench (based on who’s currently on the roster)

Guard/Forward – Filip Borovicanin

Forward/Center – Henri Veesaar

Forward/Center – Dylan Anderson

Now, this part of this rotation is purely a guess on my end and does not necessarily mean this is what the Wildcats will go with in 2022-23. Plus, Arizona could still return Terry possibly as he has been adamant that if he gets a first-round grade, he is likely gone.

Beyond that, I imagine Arizona will likely add another player or two via transfer, contingent on if Terry returns. But either way, look for the Wildcats’ rotation to be something close to this. It is loaded with front-court depth, but hopefully, Tommy and Arizona can fill out the backcourt!
