After a brief, and rather unsuccessful stint with the Chicago Bears, former Wildcat Nick Foles is on the move as he signs with the Indianapolis Colts.

The legend of Big [Expletive] Nick Foles continues! Despite making stops with Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas, Jacksonville, and Chicago, once again that former Wildcat has found a new home as he officially signs with the Indianapolis Colts.

For the past few days, there had reportedly been growing interest in the former Wildcat, especially as Nick has proven to be a serviceable quarterback in this league, but also because the Colts needed more depth at the position.

Well, on Monday afternoon, that all came to a head as it was announced that Nick officially signed with the Colts.

Formally ending his time in Chicago, Foles reunites with head coach Frank Reich in Indianapolis who was his offensive coordinator with the Eagles in 2017. Together, the two won a Super Bowl title, so naturally, this is a great fit for all parties.

Joining the Indianapolis Colts, Nick Foles should have a great opportunity to help bolster a quarterback room that needed depth.

This off-season has been a busy one for the Colts as they already signed long-time veteran and previous Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan; however, they have now added a reliable and stable veteran in Foles.

According to ESPN, “The team did not disclose terms, but Foles received a two-year contract”.

Entering his 11th season in the NFL, Nick has made a bit of a name for himself having thrown for 14,003 with 82 touchdowns to just 43 interceptions. Nick also has one Pro Bowl appearance (2013) and of course, has the Super Bowl MVP Award from the 2017 season.

Coming into this season, he will back up Ryan as the Colts look to improve upon their 9-8 record and 2nd place finish in the AFC South!

At Zona Zealots, we are excited for Nick and look forward to continuing to follow his career!
