The 2022 Arizona Football season is just around the corner and with the Wildcats gearing up for the year, Vegas sets Arizona’s win total at just 2.5 games.

It is almost time for the Arizona Football again, and as the 2022 season quickly approaches, there is growing excitement with the Wildcats this year.

At this point, we’re all too familiar that last year was a rough one. The Wildcats scratched their way to just one win in he’d coach Jedd Fisch’s first season. That lone win also came against a depleted Cal team thanks in large part to Covid hitting their program.

For 2022, the expectations for this team are still a bit low. And despite the immensely successful off-season the Wildcats have had, this is still a team that has to overcome years of poor recruiting and poor development.

That is why coming into the year, Arizona Football is predicted to win just 2.5 games as noted by 247Sports’ Jason Scheer.

Is that fair? Perhaps… After all, Arizona still has a lot to prove as a team, and of course, we cannot forget that this is still the same program that went 9-20 from 2018-20. So, turning the Wildcats into a consistent winner will take time, nor is it an easy feat that will happen overnight.

Beyond that, Arizona has a brutal schedule for 2022. The non-conference schedule is about as tough as anyone’s in the country, plus they play Oregon, a majorly upgraded USC team, and Utah on the road among others. Here is the Wildcats’ schedule below!

2022 Schedule

Sept. 3 – @ San Diego State

Sept. 10 – Mississippi State

Sept. 17 – North Dakota State

Sept. 24 – @ Cal

Oct. 1 – Colorado

Oct. 8 – Oregon

Oct. 15 – @ Washington

Oct. 29 – USC

Nov. 5 – @ Utah

Nov. 12 – @ UCLA

Nov. 19 – Wazzu

Nov. 25 – Arizona State

Personally (albeit a biased opinion), I think betting Wildcat fans should take the over here, especially as the team added a lot of talent and key pieces to its roster. Overall, I think Arizona will be a vastly improved group in 2022; however, just how much better will be the question!
