Arizona Volleyball Alum Madi Kingdon Rishel earns the call up to Team USA
Following a tremendous collegiate career with Arizona Volleyball, former Wildcat Madi Kingdon Rishel earns a call-up with Team USA Volleyball.
In the volleyball world, there isn’t a much bigger stage than the Volleyball Nations League other than the Olympic Games, and the 2022 VNL will have representation from the University of Arizona as Madi Kingdon Rishel has been named to Team USA.
A former two-time Wildcat All-American one each in indoor and beach volleyball, the only student-athlete to receive the honor during the 2014-2015 season, Madi Kingdon Rishel continues to impress as her career is flourishing on the professional and international stages.
Immediately following a Wildcats career that featured 1,943 kills and 1,366 digs which finds her second in Arizona Volleyball history, Kingdon Rishel utilized the NCAA stage to springboard an international professional stage spanning the globe.
Now, Kingdon Rishel is set to be one of seven players taking part in the VNL with prior U.S. Women’s National Team experience.
Championships Becoming the Norm for Kingdon Rishel
In her time with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Kingdon Rishel has a pair of Pan-American Cup Gold Medals, as well as a Bronze during which she was named Best Spiker for the tournament.
In FIVB Nations League play, Kingdon Rishel is set to go for her third Gold Medal during the 2022 VNL Season. And to round out International competition, Kingdon Rishel has also earned a Bronze Medal as part of the U.S. National Team’s entry into the World Grand Champions Cup.

All games during week one will be played at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Following their sweep against the Dominican Republic on May 31st, the U.S. returns to action on Friday as they take on our neighbors to the north Canada, before the showdown of the VNL on Saturday against Brazil. The Americans will wrap up week one of the VNL against Japan.
