Following another big recruiting weekend, Arizona Football has received another commitment for 2023, this time it is Southern California area safety, Sean Brown.

Things are heating up in the desert in the “Ol’ Southwest”, and I am not talking about the weather as Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football have now secured their 15th commitment in the recruiting class of 2023.

Making news on Monday afternoon, the Wildcats officially added 2023 three-star Southern California safety, Sean Brown.

Announcing his commitment via social media, Sean picked the Wildcats despite receiving offers from BYU, Washington State, Oregon State, and San Diego State among others.

A standout from Simi Valley High School in Simi Valley, CA, Sean comes to Tucson as a three-star rated recruit and is considered to be the No. 100 ranked safety rusher, as well as the No. 140 overall ranked player from the talent-rich state of California according to 247Sports’ ranking services.

Standing 6-feet-3-inches and weighing 195 pounds, Sean Brown is a solid addition to Arizona Football and becomes the 13th defensive commitment.

Coming into the off-season, it was clear that the Wildcats wanted to address its defense and so far, head coach Jedd Fisch and Co. have not disappointed, bringing in several players to help bring in talent and bolster their depth.

Out of the 15 commitments the Wildcats have in the class of 2023, 13 are on defense, and Sean is just the latest to join a growing list of recruits that are coming to Tucson for next season.

Coming in, Sean is coming off of a strong junior campaign in which he totaled 39 tackles (33 solo), with four interceptions and 13 pass breakups.

He is a long, athletic, and physical player that possesses a great motor and solid instincts in the secondary. He reads the ball well and reacts, and shows great fluidity and flexibility when breaking to the football.

With continued coach, Sean could turn into a solid player, but overall, the talent is there and you can see it in his film!
