Turning its focus to the recruiting class for 2023, Adia Barnes and Arizona Women’s Basketball have received a commitment from five-star post player, Breya Cunningham.

Fresh off of signing one of their best classes in 2022, Adia Barnes and the Arizona Women’s Basketball program have already turned its focus to 2023, and so far, the Wildcats are on a roll.

Making news on Sunday afternoon, the Wildcats have added another HUGE piece in the class for 2023 by receiving its second commitment, this time from five-star post player, Breya Cunningham.

Picking the Wildcats over offers from UCLA, Texas, USC, and Oregon among several others, Breya is one of the top players in the country and will help bolster the Wildcats’ front court.

Hailing from La Jolla Country Day High School in San Diego, Breya is the No. 10 recruit in the country according to ESPN’s scouting services and is the No. 3 overall post player.

Joining fellow five-star commit Montaya Dew, the No. 9 overall recruit from Centennial High School (Las Vegas, NV), Arizona is quickly putting together one of the best classes in the country.

With the addition of Breya Cunningham, Adia Barnes and Arizona Women’s Basketball helps solidify its frontcourt for the immediate future.

Arizona has been on a roll over the past few seasons as head coach Adia Barnes is steadily and quietly, building a top program in the Pac-12.

Since taking over a dormant and bottom-dwelling program, Adia has compiled a 110–74 (49–56) record with two NCAA Tournament appearances, an NCAA Tournament Runner-up finish, and an NIT Championship.

And all of that has happened just over the past four seasons. Despite her somewhat rocky starts in 2016-17 and 2017-18, the Wildcats are 90–34 (42–27) since then.

With Barnes and Arizona looking to sustain their success for 2023 and beyond, the Wildcats are poised to do so as they add Breya and a few other talented pieces.

Cunning is a post player that stands a towering 6-feet-4-inches, with a big game and even bigger potential! Based on her film, it appears that Barnes and the Wildcats have brought in yet another great player!

Hot. Arizona Basketball could have a quiet NBA Draft in 2023. light
