Las Vegas, NV – With the NBA Summer League action kicking off, former Wildcats Benn Mathurin and Dalen Terry are set to play in their first NBA action.

Well, it is one of our favorite times of year again as the NBA Summer League is back in action. And for former Wildcats Benn Mathurin and Dalen Terry, it is their first opportunity at playing in the NBA.

The Summer League is always a great opportunity for recent draft picks, undrafted free agents, and G League affiliate players to showcase their skills in hopes of making an NBA roster.

And just as we have seen several times before, a few of our Wildcats have excelled in the NBA Summer League action.

Benn Mathurin and Dalen Terry, both will get their first crack at NBA action, when their Summer League games tip off on Friday afternoon.

It was just a couple of weeks ago that our former Wildcats were drafted into the NBA by their respective teams, and finally, both will get their chance at playing.

For Benn, he joins a talented Indiana team that was perhaps in need of another player or two to help strengthen and bolster the roster.

He was the No. 6 pick for a reason, to me (although my opinion may be biased), Benn has All-Star potential. He has the ideal length for a wing at the next level and given his size, athleticism, and versatility, he should be a great compliment to current star Tyrese Haliburton.

As for Dalen, he was a draft surprise, but he was selected based on his upside and talent. He did a little bit of everything for Arizona Basketball as a high-level role player and key starter this past season.

Primarily playing off the ball in several situations, Terry has the length and athleticism to thrive at the next level and has a shot that became more consistent as the season went on.

With NBA Summer League action beginning, here are the game times for Mathurin and Terry:

  • Dallas v.s. Chicago – 1:00 P.M. (ESPNU)
  • Charlotte v.s. Indiana – 3:00 P.M (ESPN 2)
