Following another big recruiting weekend, Arizona Football has received yet another commitment for 2023, this time it is Portland area defensive end, Tristan Davis.

Things are progressing very quickly in Tucson. With fall camp just around the corner, Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football have now secured their 18th commitment in the recruiting class of 2023.

Making news on Tuesday, the Wildcats officially added 2023 three-star Portland area defensive end, Tristan Davis.

Announcing his commitment via social media, Tristan picked the Wildcats despite receiving offers from Arizona State, Colorado, and Nevada among others.

A two-sport standout from Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, OR, Tristan comes to Tucson as a three-star rated recruit and is considered to be the No. 101 ranked edge rusher, as well as the No. 4 overall ranked player from the state of Oregon according to 247Sports’ ranking services.

Standing a massive 6-feet-7-inches and weighing 235 pounds, Tristan Davis is another solid defensive addition to Arizona Football.

Coming into the off-season, it has been clear that the Wildcats were wanting to prioritize recruiting defense on the recruiting trail. After all, the talent and depth have not been there for the past several seasons.

So far in the recruiting class of 2023, Fisch and Co. have not disappointed, as the class is mostly comprised of defensive recruits. Davis is just the latest that has been added to a quickly growing list.

Heading into his senior season, Sean is coming off of a strong junior campaign at Wilsonville High School in Oregon in which he totaled 45 tackles (18 solo), with eight sacks, and 2.0 tackles for loss.

Overall, Tristan is a long, athletic, and physical player that possesses a great motor and solid instincts as an edge rusher. He reads the ball well and reacts, and uses his size and strength well to create disruption in the backfield.

With continued coaching and development, Tristan could turn into a solid player, but overall, you have to love his size, and the kid oozes talent and potential in his film!
