The 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season is just around the corner, and with basketball action heating up the Wildcats have announced their annual Red-Blue game.

While the Arizona Football season may be just around the corner, so is the 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season. And on Thursday, the Wildcats got another step closer to the quickly approaching season!

Making news via social media, Arizona finally announced their annual Red and Blue game, setting the scrimmage date for September 30.

For Wildcat fans, we will finally get our first look at the 2022-23 Wildcats as tip-off for the Red-Blue is currently set for 7:30 p.m. PT inside McKale Center.

Unfortunately, TV and broadcasting info has not yet been announced; however, that should change in the coming days/weeks.

And with the season still, a few months away, we will get our first look at Arizona Basketball in year two under Tommy Lloyd.

Last year, the Wildcats exceeded many expectations in year one under Coach Lloyd, all en route to a regular-season conference championship, a conference tournament championship, and a Sweet 16 appearance.

However, gone from last year’s team are Ben Mathurin, Dalen Terry, and Christian Koloko as all three have moved on to the NBA. And unfortunately, Arizona may not quite be the elite team they were last year.

However, Arizona does have enough pieces to still be a competitive group that could surprise some people, and with the Wildcats predicted to finish in the Top 4 of the conference, we will see just what kind of group we have.

It is worth noting that the Wildcats will be breaking in several newcomers including freshmen Dylan Anderson, Filip Borovicanin, and Henri Veesaar, as well as transfers Cedric Henderson Jr. and Courtney Ramey.

Unfortunately, freshman Kylan Boswell will not be available to play as he recovers from a surgically repaired stress fracture in his foot.

Tickets for the Red-Blue game will go on sale on August 27, and prices for the game will range from $7-15.
