With the 2022 Arizona Football season nearly upon us, our Wildcat freshmen duo have landed on the 247Sports True Freshman All-American Team.

Another day and more preseason accolades have come in for a few more Arizona Football players as a pair of current Wildcats have been named to the preseason Freshman All-American Team.

Making news just last week was that current Wildcats Tetairoa McMillan and Jonah Savaiinaea were announced to the 247Sports True Freshman All-American Team for 2022.

Utilizing feedback and insight from their scouts, 247Sports compiled a list of true freshmen that they feel will dominate the college football landscape.

Like several other preseason awards and watchlists, Arizona Football will be well-represented this year on the Freshman All-American Team.

The first Wildcat on the list is Tetairoa McMillian aka T-Mac. A highly-touted freshman, T-Mac comes to Tucson garnering the most preseason hype as a freshman, and understandably so.

He was a star athlete at Servite High School en route to becoming one of the best high school athletes in the country for 2022.

T-Mac enters his first season with the Wildcats with a lot of hype and should be one of the Wildcats’ better receivers this season. And because of the preseason praise, he is drawing, his presence on the All-American list is a no-brainer.

Next up is Jonah Savaiinaea. Also a freshman, Jonah was a lightly-recruited as a three-star recruit out of St. Louis High School in Honolulu; however, since coming to Tucson, he has become a key focal point of the offense.

As a true freshman, he is like a man among boys and he has the potential to become one of the Wildcats’ best offensive linemen this season. Because of his impact with the Wildcats, it is clear why some are giving Jonah such high praise this season.
