Here’s how I’m betting the undefeated Wildcats’ big game this weekend:
Mississippi State vs Arizona Prediction and Pick
The Wildcats covered the spread in five of their last seven games as things seem to be turning around in Arizona. They’ll get a true test this week against a stout Mississippi State team that’s an even-better 6-1 against the spread (ATS) in that same time frame.

Bulldogs’ quarterback Will Rogers put on a clinic against Memphis, dissecting the Tigers with ease all night long. Arizona’s defense is much improved, but it’ll need its best effort against such an explosive Mississippi State offense.
I was encouraged by Jayden de Laura’s four-touchdown performance for Arizona, but even more impressed by a rushing attack that ran for 162 yards and 4.2 yards per carry. The Wildcats want to keep the ball away from Rogers, so they’ll lean heavily on that ground game to control the clock and try to steal an upset.
Arizona should find success with that strategy. The Bulldogs surrendered 6.1 yards per carry to Memphis while struggling to run the ball themselves.
Mississippi State should win, but the spread is too high for me with the Wildcats’ advantage on the ground. Instead, I’ll look to the under. It’s hit in eight consecutive games when the Bulldogs are road favorites and is 6-2 in Arizona’s last eight as home underdogs.
