With Arizona Basketball preparing for the upcoming 2022-23 season, the Wildcats have unveiled a fresh new look with an ode to the past.
The 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season is quickly approaching, and as the Wildcats prepare for the annual Red-Blue game, they will likely be doing it in style.
Over the past several months, it has been hinted that Arizona will be getting new uniforms for 2022-23, finally ditching the tacky and overused gradient look for a throwback design.
In the days prior to their unveiling, Arizona even released a teaser for the new uniforms using Wildcat legends Steve Kerr and Sean Elliott to get fans excited.
So naturally, with the Red-Blue game nearly upon us, Arizona Basketball has unveiled its uniforms, and they are amazing!
Breaking the news via social media, Arizona Basketball released a short promo video that showcases the uniforms, and they surely do not disappoint.
Incorporating designs from the popular basketball uniforms of the late 80s, the Wildcats have updated the look, and finally, Nike has given us something to be proud of.
It’s all in the Details!
For starters, the Wildcats have two uniform sets (white and blue). Trimmed in red on both sets, the look is a throwback to the 80s style we saw during the Kerr and Elliott years.
On the shorts, the Wildcats have a large “A” on the right leg with the word Cats on the other leg. The best part of all? The Arizona Cactus logo on the waistband!
Overall, these look very sharp and the University did a great job in unveiling these! Hopefully, you all agree as well!
