Returning to action for a big challenge against No. 12 Oregon, Arizona Football prepares for a sellout against the Ducks this weekend.

Fresh off of a big win over conference rival Colorado last Saturday evening to improve to 3-2 (1-1) on the season, Arizona Football returns to action as they continue their Pac-12 play.

Kicking off week six of the 2022 season, the Wildcats should have a difficult challenge on their hands as Arizona takes on a great opponent in the No. 12 Oregon Ducks this weekend.

Coming in, the Ducks are rolling! Having outscored their opponents 203-151, the Ducks are 4-1 (2-0) to start the year, and so far they are proving to not only be one of the best teams in the Pac-12 North but in the Pac-12 period.

And while Arizona Football enters this one as a double-digit underdog, one advantage that the Wildcats will have is a sold-out Arizona Stadium.

Arizona and Oregon share a unique history, having played several competitive games over the past decade or so, even putting together some classic games.

And this weekend, fans may be in store for yet another classic one as Wildcat fans have been busy buying up tickets in anticipation of their showdown with the Ducks on Saturday.

Making news via social media on Thursday afternoon, it was announced that there were over 50,000 tickets purchased, the most since Arizona hosted UCLA for College Game Day in 2015.

While the chances of the Wildcats scoring the upset are slim, you have to appreciate fans buying in and trying to rally around the team as they look for the program’s first signature win in the Jedd Fisch era.

The Wildcats are just a year removed from their 1-11 finish in 2021 and are already off to a respectable 3-2 start in 2022. However, now begins the gauntlet of games for the Cats in which they face No. 12 Oregon, No. 21 Washington, No. 6 USC, No. 11 Utah, and No. 18 UCLA.
