Despite losing to Washington on Saturday, Arizona Football wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was named the Pac-12’s Freshman of the Week.

The 2022 Arizona Football season is off and rolling as we now enter the bye week for the Wildcats, this past weekend Arizona competed against a tough Washington team, but unfortunately, the Wildcats came up short in their upset bid.

Putting up over 500 yards of offense and scoring 39 points, it was a great performance collectively on offense for the Wildcats; however, not many had bigger games for Arizona than freshman wide receiver, Tetairoa McMillan.

Following his stellar performance, the Pac-12 announced Player of the Week honors on Monday, and on the list for Freshman POW was Tetairoa McMillan.

Presented by Nextiva, Arizona saw its first weekly performance selection in the past couple of weeks, and with McMillan getting the nod for Freshman Player of the Week honors, it is the second time he has been awarded this honor this season.

Playing in the seventh game of his collegiate career, the former five-star wide receiver had a big day as he led all Wildcat receivers with seven receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

So far, T-Mac has lived up to the hype this season as he is now up to 28 receptions for 470 yards and six touchdowns for the Wildcats. Those stats make him one of the most productive freshmen receivers in college football.

Tetairoa and the Wildcats will have a bye week this week before returning to action next Saturday when they take on No. 12 USC (6-1, 2-1). Arizona will have a challenge on its hands as they welcome the Trojans to Arizona Stadium.
