Arizona Football: Dorian Singer added to midseason Biletnikoff Award watch list
With the 2022 Arizona Football season well underway, wide receiver Dorian Singer has been added to the midseason Biletnikoff Award watch list.
It was just earlier this year that Arizona Football wide receiver Jacob Cowing was named to the Maxwell Award and Biletnikoff Award watch lists. And luckily for us, he isn’t the only Wildcat drawing plenty of attention this season.
Making news via social media on Wednesday afternoon, fellow Arizona wide receiver Dorian Singer was added to the midseason Biletnikoff Award watch list.
An award that is given to college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the ward.
Singer is considered by many to not only be one of the best pass catchers on the Wildcats but in all of college football.
Despite the Wildcats currently sitting at 3-4 (1-3) on the year and riding a two-game losing streak, there are still plenty of Arizona footballers getting midseason hype.
Becoming a breakout player after previously walking on with Arizona Football, Dorian Singer is having a monstrous, sophomore season.
A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Dorian moved to Arizona where he became a standout player at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix before walking on with the Wildcats in 2021.
Despite playing with Cowing and highly-touted freshman Tetairoa McMillan, Dorian is having one hell of a year, and through seven games, the sophomore has 41 receptions for 605 yards and two touchdowns.
His presence helps solidify and diversify this group, and while his chances of winning the Biletnikoff Award may be slim; however, it is great seeing him draw well-earned praise.
Either way, we are excited about the potential of this receiving corp in 2023 and beyond, and in particular Singer. Here are some highlights of the Wildcats’ offensive weapon.
