SEATTLE, WA – Picking up right where they left off, Arizona Soccer (6-6-2, 3-4) extended its winning streak with a 1-0 win over Washington (8-4-3, 2-5-1).

The daunting road continued for Arizona Soccer, and nearly a week removed from picking up the 2-0 win over Colorado, the Wildcats returned to action.

Beginning their two-game road trip with a matchup against conference foe, the Washington Huskies, Arizona had a significant challenge on its hands as they returned to the pitch

Hoping to continue their winning ways and make a postseason push with just a few games left on the season, they looked primed from the start.

Getting out to a quick start in the first half, Arizona Soccer was able to enter halftime with a 1-0 lead before hanging on for the impressive win.

Perhaps still feeling confident from their recent, competitive showings, the Wildcats came out hungry from the start.

Putting several shots on goal, luckily, it was Arizona that would be the ones to strike first in this one! Scoring in the 26th minute, Arizona’s Jordan Hall took a few, well-placed passes that allowed her to put one past the Huskies’ keeper to make it 1-0.

Holding strong on defense, the Wildcats would enter the half with a slim lead, this despite being outshot 8-6 by the Huskies in the first half.

Entering the second half with a comfortable lead, the Wildcats would stay aggressive in this one, and more importantly, the defense would hang tough.

Despite Washington’s best efforts to come back in this one, it was Arizona that came up big in the end, holding the Huskies scoreless and picking up the 1-0 win!

With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 6-6-2 on the year and will return to action on Sunday when they take on Washington State (8-3-3, 2-2-2).
