TUCSON, AZ – Staying hot, Arizona Soccer (7-6-3) picked up right where they left off with a 3-2 win over Oregon State (4-10-3, 0-8-1).

Picking up right where they left off from last week, Arizona Soccer returned to action, earning the impressive 3-2 win over Oregon State.

And beginning their two-game home stand with a matchup against conference foe, the Oregon State Beavers, Arizona had a favorable matchup in this one as they returned to the pitch

Hoping to continue their winning ways and make a last-minute postseason push, the Wildcats looked primed from the start in this one.

Despite falling behind 1-0 early on, Arizona Soccer responded with three unanswered goals before cruising to the eventual win.

Perhaps still feeling confident from their recent, competitive showings, the Wildcats came out hungry from the start.

Unfortunately, Oregon State was the ones to strike first, scoring in the fourth minute to make it 1-0 after McKenna Martinez snuck one past Arizona’s, Hope Hisey.

Luckily, Arizona wouldn’t go quietly in this one as just a few minutes later Iliana Hocking found the back of the net in the 10th minute to make it 1-1.

Minutes later, the Cats scored again! This time it was junior forward Nicole Dallin who would score on a penalty kick to make it 2-1, Arizona!

Still staying aggressive, the Wildcats would score again as Dallin would strike for the second time in this one. Taking a beautiful pass from Jordan Hall, Dallin found the back of the net in the 29th minute to make it 3-1 in favor of the Cats.

Entering halftime with a dominant, 3-1 lead. Arizona would hit cruise control in the second half. And despite Oregon State’s best efforts to come back in this one, it was Arizona that came up big in the end, holding the Beavers to just one goal and picking up the 3-2 win!

With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 7-6-3 on the year and will return to action on Sunday when they take on Oregon (4-7-6, 2-5-2).
