TUCSON, AZ – No. 19 Arizona Women’s Basketball begins the 2022-23 season as the Wildcats take on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.

The 2022-23 Arizona Women’s Basketball season is finally here, and the Wildcats tip off their season with a matchup against Northern Arizona.

Returning to the friendly confines of McKale Center, the Wildcats return a slew of talent that includes Cate Reese, Shaina Pellington, and Helena Pueyo among others.

Beyond that, the Cats will be debuting several fresh faces which include Maya Nnaji (sister to former Wildcat, Zeke Nnaji), Kailyn Gilbert, Lauren Fields, Esmery Martinez, and ASU transfer, Jade Loville.

Coming in, the Wildcats should be in store for yet another intriguing year as the Cats have the talent to contend for a Pac-12 Championship and a deep, March run.

However, the road ahead for the Wildcats and Adia Barnes should be a daunting one! Luckily for us, fans will get to see how much Arizona Women’s Basketball has improved since last season!

And with Arizona Women’s Basketball kicking off the 2022-23 season, here is how you can watch and follow their first game.

Arizona Game Preview:

Arizona enters this game fresh off of a solid 2021-22 season, and as you may recall, the Wildcats won 21 games en route to securing an NCAA Tournament bid before falling to North Carolina in the second round.

The Wildcats have had to battle some injuries over the past couple of weeks, so it will be interesting to see how this team responds. I don’t expect much of a contest in this one, so Arizona should be able to get a lot of its player’s minutes! Tip-off is set for 6:30 P.M. Tucson time!
