Following a stellar week for Arizona Basketball, the Wildcats have climbed up the rankings in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, moving up to No. 14 on Monday afternoon.

We are just two games into the Tommy Lloyd era, and Arizona Basketball has been on a roll to start this season.

Beginning the year 2-0 with dominant wins over Nicholls and Southern, the Wildcats have been impressive thus far.

But before the season started, the Wildcats opened the year as the No. 17 ranked team in the AP Poll. And after their wins last week, Arizona is on the move!

Making news on Monday afternoon, the Associated Press released their latest, weekly Top 25 poll, and coming in at No. 14 on the list was our Wildcats.

Thanks in part to some upsets in college basketball to begin the season, Arizona Basketball finds itself at a very respectable spot.

Also joining Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference was UCLA at No. 8, meanwhile, USC and Oregon suffered some heartbreaking losses last week which has them currently on the outside looking in.

So, with the Wildcats now ranking No. 14 in the country, they will have to stay focused this week as they take on Utah Tech on Thursday before taking on Cincinnati to begin the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii next week.

Arizona will have a significant challenge in the coming weeks, and the Wildcats will need to be ready if they are to win. Should the Wildcats take care of business these next couple of weeks, Arizona can make a significant jump in the AP Top 25 rankings!
