Arizona Football: OT Jordan Morgan out for the rest of 2022
Despite putting together a tremendous junior season, Arizona Football offensive tackle Jordan Morgan will be out for the rest of 2022.
It has been a great year for Arizona Football offensive tackle, Jordan Morgan. Having started at left tackle for all 10 of the Wildcats’ games thus far, the former Marana High School standout has made a tremendous jump this season.
Considered by some to be an NFL-caliber lineman, some have had Morgan on their pre-draft boards entering this past weekend’s action against UCLA.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound tackle has also been a big reason why the Wildcats are currently averaging 135.8 yards rushing and 31.2 points per game.
However, a bad play quickly changed the trajectory of Morgan for the rest of the season.
The junior suffered a non-contact injury against the Bruins, as Jordan went down with a gruesome injury that took him out for the rest of the game. And it turns out, it is worse than we could have ever hoped or imagined.
Making news on Monday was that Jordan Morgan will miss the rest of the 2022 season for Arizona Football.
Following the Wildcats’ win against UCLA on Saturday evening, head coach Jedd Fisch confirmed that Morgan would be out for the rest of the season.
Suffering an ACL tear that will sideline him indefinitely, Morgan’s loss is a big one as he has been a big part of the Wildcats’ offensive production this season.
Beyond that, his absence leaves a big gap for the Wildcats along the offensive line, and Arizona will have a significant challenge in replacing Morgan. Hopefully, Arizona can still get decent production at left tackle with Morgan out
The hope is that we have not seen the last of Morgan in an Arizona uniform; however, with growing interest from NFL scouts, the possibility is there.
