Arizona Basketball climbs to No. 4 in the latest AP Poll
Following a stellar week for Arizona Basketball, the Wildcats have climbed the rankings in the latest AP Poll, moving up to No. 4 on Monday morning.
We are rolling along in the 2022-23 Arizona Basketball season, and the Wildcats have been on a roll to start the year.
Beginning the season 6-0 with dominant wins over Nicholls, Southern, and No. 17 San Diego State among others, the Wildcats further cemented their dominance with a win over No. 10 Creighton in the Maui Invitational Championship.
Beginning the season ranked as the No. 17 team in the country, the Wildcats have been steadily climbing the ranks, especially after the week that they had.
And making news on Monday afternoon, the Associated Press released their latest, weekly Top 25 poll, and coming in at No. 4 on the list was our Wildcats.
Thanks in part to some upsets in college basketball to begin the season, Arizona Basketball finds itself at a very respectable spot.
Also joining Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference was UCLA at No. 21, meanwhile, Arizona is on the outside looking in, earning six AP votes.
So, with the Wildcats now ranking No. 4 in the country, they will have to stay focused this week as they take on Utah on Thursday in Salt Lake City, before returning home to take on Cal at home on Sunday afternoon.
Arizona will have a few challenges in the coming weeks with Indiana and Tennessee still looming. The Wildcats will need to be ready if they are to win and can’t overlook anyone.
Should the Wildcats take care of business these next couple of weeks, Arizona can continue to rise in the AP Top 25 rankings!
