The 2022 Arizona Football season is over and with the Wildcats turning its focus to recruiting, Arizona could see a lot of action in the Transfer Portal.

Well, the 2022 Arizona Football season is now over, and with the Wildcats finishing with a respectable 5-7 (3-6) record, especially when you consider the team was predicted to win just 2.5 games according to Vegas.

In year two of the Jedd Fisch era, the team showed steady progress, from winning five games to seeing steady improvement on offense, and bringing in an influx of talent, the Wildcats appear to be on the right path to building a winning program.

However, their focus now turns to what will likely be a busy off-season for the Wildcats.

And with it being just year two of a lengthy rebuild, head coach Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football still have a way to go in turning this thing around.

In his press conference on Monday, Coach Fisch talked a length about the season and the win over ASU, but perhaps no topics covered in his press conference were bigger than the future outlook of this program.

Speaking with the media, Jedd hinted that Arizona’s roster turnover this year could be “pretty substantial”, he said. And much like last year, where the Wildcats saw 50 newcomers, it is quite feasible, Arizona could come close to those numbers.

If you consider the six players who have run out of eligibility, Arizona’s roster will need a bit more “trimming” if they are to the max scholarship number of 85.

Already, Arizona has seen running back Drake Anderson enter the infamous transfer portal, and you figure a few more will follow with the hopes of them bettering their respective situations.

So either way, the Wildcats should have a very busy off-season and could see a lot of action in the transfer portal.
