Well, 2022 was a rather successful one for Arizona Football especially when you consider the expectation. And despite a huge season this year, wide receiver Jacob Cowing will be returning for another season in Tucson!
Announcing his decision via Social Media on Monday evening, the former UTEP transfer surprised Wildcat fans, announcing that he will be coming back to Arizona for one more season.

Cowing was lightly recruited coming out of high school, but over the past couple of seasons, Jacob has easily cemented himself as one of the best receivers in college football.
And as he returns for 2023, Jacob Cowing will likely be the presumptive leader of the offense next season for Arizona Football.
As we all saw, Arizona’s offense exploded in 2022, en route to becoming one of the most electric groups not only in the Pac-12 but in college football. Cowing was a big part of that.
Starting in all 12 games at wide receiver for the Wildcats, Jacob finished second on the team with 1,034 yards receiving and seven touchdowns on 85 receptions. He was just one of two Wildcat receivers to accumulate 1,000 receiving yards last season. His counterpart, Dorian Singer, unfortunately, announced his intent to transfer on Monday afternoon.
Now in his final season in Tucson, Jacob will give it one last go with the Wildcats before moving on, and heading into 2023, he should have a huge impact with the Cats. He is an electric football player that will be one of the vocal leaders of this offense. Plus, his experience will be vital in propelling this high-flying offense!
Here’s just a small reminder of how good he is!
