Shortly after being traded to the Utah Jazz, former Wildcat Stanley Johnson is on the move again joining Miami’s G League affiliate, Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Stanley Johnson is on the move again. After a short stint with the Utah Jazz this season, Stanimal will be settling in with yet another new team.

Making news days ago, it was announced that the NBA journeyman has signed with the Miami Heats’ G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Now in his eighth season following his Arizona career, Johnson had a resurgence of sorts last year with the Lakers as he averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in 48 appearances. He also shot a career-high 46.6 percent from the field.

Stanley did get traded to the Utah Jazz a few months ago, but unfortunately, things did not pan out as he did get waived a few months later.

Joining the G-League, Stanley Johnson will have an opportunity to build off his success and showcase himself with a new organization.

Stanley became a fan favorite of sorts with a struggling Lakers squad last season as he joined the team around Christmas, and never seemingly looked back.

Now as he heads to Miami’s G-League affiliate, look for him to also have a sizable role as he tries to work his way into potentially getting on the Heats’ roster.

Sioux Falls will be the sixth stop that Johnson has made in his career after starting with Detroit in 2015 as the former 8th overall draft pick. Johnson has also played with New Orleans, Toronto, and the Los Angeles Lakers, before having a brief stint in Utah.
