Signing Day Surprise! Arizona Football flips Utah commit Carlos Wilson
Getting another surprise on early signing day, Arizona Football has added another piece for 2023, flipping Utah commit, Carlos Wilson.
Early Signing Day was a busy one for Arizona Football, and as head coach Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats signed several of its committed recruits, the Wildcats did get another surprise.
Making news on Wednesday, the Wildcats secured a commitment from three-star wide receiver, Carlos Wilson.
A former Utah commit, Arizona flipped Wilson on signing day, as he officially signed with the Wildcats despite receiving from Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, and Utah among several others.
A standout recruit in the class of 2023, Wilson is a skilled slot receiver that hails from Inderkum High School in Sacramento, CA.
Standing 5-feet-11-inches and weighing 160 pounds, Carlos Wilson will help bolster and add depth to the wide receiver spot for Arizona Football.
Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats have done a tremendous job in continuing to upgrade their talent as well as build depth! And with 2023 commit Trech Kekahuna flipping from Arizona to Wisconsin today, the Wildcats apparently had a contingency plan, flipping Utah commit Wilson.
Joining the Wildcats, Carlos is a small and agile receiver with great speed, quickness, and athleticism. Even though he is a bit smaller in stature, this is a big pick up for Arizona.
Wilson can play on both sides of the ball; however, he will likely be a suitable replacement for Jacob Cowing once he moves on.
Overall, he has good hands and shiftiness, and he has the speed to turn small plays into big ones! he is explosive with quick agility, and based on his film, the Wildcats got a good one!
