TUCSON, AZ – Rallying to beat Washington on Thursday evening, No. 5 Arizona Basketball (14-1, 3-1) welcomes Washington State (6-10, 1-4) to town.

Thursday night was a rough one for Arizona Basketball, but in college basketball sometimes you have to find ways to win, even when it is not your night.

Rallying from 14 down to be a the Washington Huskies, the Wildcats are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they welcome the Washington State Cougars to McKale.

Coming in, Washington State is a talented but rather inconsistent team. And although the Wildcats are heavily favored in this one, like their game against Washington, this is a game that the Wildcats cannot overlook.

Against the Cougars, Arizona should have the advantage just about everywhere on the court; however, that doesn’t mean that the Cats can overlook this game. Arizona will have to bring the intensity and get its offense rolling early if they are going to earn the win!

With Arizona Basketball preparing for Washington State, here is how you can watch and follow their game.

Arizona Game Preview:

Resuming conference play against conference foe Washington State, Arizona has been rolling, but for the last three halves of basketball, the offense hasn’t quite looked the same from what we saw weeks prior.

Coming into Saturday’s action, this should be an interesting matchup as both squads share quite the collective history and Arizona has dominated this series by a 66-16 advantage since 1978, including winning the last five straight.

The last time both these teams met was in Pullman last February where Arizona came away with the 72-60 victory.

Despite Washington State’s 6-10 record, the Cougars are a competitive team with close losses to Utah, UNLV, Baylor, and others. Arizona will have to treat this one with just as much seriousness as they did with their other marquee games if they are to win.

Arizona’s offense is going to need to get to work quicker in this one, meanwhile, their defense has to bring the effort and intensity if they hope to avoid Thursday’s close call! Tip-off is set for 3:00 P.M. Tucson time!
