TUCSON, AZ – Rallying to beat Oregon State on Friday evening, No. 15 Arizona Women’s Basketball (13-2, 4-1) welcomes No. 18 Oregon (12-3, 3-1) to McKale.

Despite falling behind by double-digits in the second half, Arizona Women’s Basketball was able to rally to beat the Oregon State Beavers’; however, the Wildcats are back in action on Sunday evening for an even tougher challenge as they welcome No. 18 Oregon to McKale.

Coming in, the Ducks are a talented and well-coached team. And although the Wildcats have the home-court advantage in this one, the Wildcats cannot overlook Oregon, and they are going to need a better effort than they showed on Friday evening.

Arizona will have to bring the intensity from the tip and get its offense rolling early if they are going to earn the win!

Arizona Game Preview:

Resuming conference play against Pac-12 foe No. 18 Oregon, Arizona has done fairly well in the early part of its Pac-12 schedule; however, their matchup against the Ducks should provide a tough and challenging test.

Coming into Sunday’s action, this should be an exciting matchup as both squads share quite the collective history and Arizona has produced some competitive games recently. Overall, Oregon holds the 45-31 advantage since 1981, even though Arizona has won three of the last four meetings.

The last time both these teams played each other was in Tucson last February where Arizona came away with the 63-48 victory.

Arizona’s offense is going to need to get to work quickly in this one and keep its momentum, meanwhile, the defense has to bring the effort and intensity if they hope to avoid Friday’s close call! Tip-off is set for 5:00 P.M. Tucson time!
