Still adding pieces to its 2023 roster, Arizona Football has added former Canyon del Oro high school star Chase Randall as a walk-on.

While head coach Jedd Fisch and Arizona Football are putting the final touches on the recruiting class for 2023, the Wildcats are still adding other pieces to its roster for next year as well.

Having added several transfers already, Arizona Football made more news on Tuesday afternoon as the Wildcats secured yet another transfer from the infamous portal, this time adding former Valparaiso defensive lineman, Chase Randall.

Announcing his commitment via social media, Chase has announced his commitment to the Wildcats!

A former local high school star in the class of 2022 from Canyon del Oro High School, Chase was a standout athlete that originally committed to Valpo.

Standing a sturdy, 6-feet-2-inches and weighing 265 pounds, Chase Randall will walk on with the Wildcats and add immediate depth to Arizona Football.

Last year, we all saw that the Wildcats needed help on defense in the worst way imaginable, and it has been clear that this coaching staff has prioritized recruiting for the defense as well as working to upgrade the talent.

Naturally, Coach Fisch and Co. have been working hard to supplement that lack of talent and depth by adding immediate-impact guys via the transfer portal as well as adding several defensive recruits in the recruiting class of 2023.

Leaving Valpo, Chase appeared in seven games with the Beacons, earning just one tackle on the season in just limited action.

Before his time at Valparaiso, Randall was a star athlete at CDO High School in Tucson where he became a two-year varsity letter winner and was voted a First-Team Southern Arizona Football All-Star in 2021.

Coming in, he will be a walk-on with the Cats; however, with his athleticism and talent, the opportunity is there for him to make an impact.

Chase will provide immediate depth along the defensive line, and the talent is certainly there! Here’s a small preview of what Wildcat fans could potentially see!
