TEMPE, AZ – Returning to action after losing to Colorado and Utah No. 11 Arizona Women’s Basketball (14-4, 4-3) takes on Arizona State (7-11, 0-7).

Fresh off of two-straight losses to Colorado and Utah last week, No. 19 Arizona Women’s Basketball will be back in action as the Wildcats travel to Tempe to take on rival, Arizona State.

Coming in, the Sun Devils have been reeling, especially after Arizona State forfeited both their games last week due to not having enough players, so ASU will be looking to bounce back in a big way.

The Wildcats are heavily favored in this one; however, if Arizona is going to beat ASU, it is going to have to take a solid performance.

The Wildcats will have to bring the intensity and focus from the tip in this one, and if Arizona gets its offense rolling early, we could be in store for another exciting rivalry matchup!

Arizona Game Preview:

Continuing conference play against Pac-12 foe Arizona State, Arizona looks to earn the season sweep against the Sun Devils after dominating their previous matchup just a few weeks ago.

Talent-wise, the Wildcats should have the advantage in this one; however, the Wildcats cannot overlook ASU, as the last time Arizona played in Tempe, the Wildcats lost.

Coming into Sunday’s  action, this should be another exciting matchup between rival programs. Overall, both teams share quite the collective history here, and there is certainly no love lost in this rivalry.

Having met several times in their history, ASU leads 63-38 since 1973, with the Wildcats winning two of the last three meetings.

The last time these teams both played each other was in Tucson in December. Arizona came away with a convincing, 84-66 victory.

Arizona’s offense is going to need to get to work quickly, and the guards will need to step up and have a big day. Defensively, Arizona has to bring a solid effort if they hope to beat ASU in Tempe! Tip-off is set for 3:00 P.M. Tucson time!
